Penn Central Conference has made a commitment to assist the community of Beecher Memorial United Church of Christ in New Orleans with rebuilding and repairing their church and homes after the destruction caused in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Members of St. John's have gone on mission trips to help in the process and the congregation has also supported this ministry with gift cards and support of the mission trips. The next trip to Beecher will be held from October 25 to November 1, led by Jim Fowler.
